2016

1. Break up with Internet Explorer

Using an outdated web browser will slow your browsing time and make you want to go crazy.  You also may not be getting the full experience in internet browsing.  Outdated browsers are not always compatible with new websites.

 2. Back-up your devices!

When you lose all your data to a virus or an accident the first thing we are going to ask you is, when was your last backup?  Networks Plus is proud to offer the latest and greatest offsite backup package! We offer this service to everyone, no computer is too small! Call today for more info!

3. Use Technology to get Healthier

Many of our resolutions this year will be to get healthier, thinner, stronger, etc.  There are a lot of technologies that can help us reach our goal.  Some of our favorites are:

The Smart Food Nutrition Scale– SITU is the smart food nutrition scale that talks to your iPad. It weighs your food in calories and nutrients in addition to grams and ounces. See the exact calories, sugar, salt, protein, vitamins and minerals of any food you place on it.

4. Get Rid of your Outdated/Old Gadgets

Let’s face it, we all hoard our old devices.  We use excuses like “What if I need it?” or “My kids might want to see what a VHS looks like” or “Maybe it will be worth money”.  No to all of the above. THROW IT OUT!  You can use the newly created space for something else! Don’t forget you can recycle your old devices (check out our recycling blog post for directions).

5. Update all your Passwords

Updating your passwords is really important.  Hackers are getting more and more advanced in their skills.  It is important to update passwords frequently.  Using numbers and symbols in place of letters is also a good extra security measure.  For example instead of “password123” you would use “p@ssw0rd123”.
